A man with a Ballymena address has pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine.

Samuel Thomas Kennedy Adair (26), of Orkney Drive, had the offence detected on May 27 this year.

He appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on August 16, via video link from Maghaberry Prison, where he is on remand charged with another matter – conspiracy to supply drugs.

A defence barrister said a bail application is to be made in relation to the matter Adair is on remand for.

Regarding the cocaine charge the defendant pleaded guilty to, District Judge Nigel Broderick said the defendant had three entries on his record for drugs.

The cocaine possession case was adjourned to early September to allow a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
