A Portrush man has admitted stealing a £100 saw from Lidl in the town on January 15 this year and going back the next day and taking drills worth £100.

Christopher McCrory (32), of Glendun Close, is also charged with making a threat to damage a vehicle on January 16.

He has admitted being disorderly at Glendun Close on December 21 last year.

McCrory is accused of offences relating to January 4 this year – being disorderly in the area of Glenarm Avenue in Portrush and assaulting police officers.

Coleraine Magistrates Court was told on January 28 that on January 23 the defendant had been given High Court bail with “very stringent conditions”.

District Judge Liam McNally noted the conditions included McCrory having to attend his GP and engage with Community Addictions.

The case was adjourned to February 4.
