A man caught speeding at Dan’s Road in Ballymena said he was doing the school run.
Alexandr Prymus (33), of Trinity Mews, Ahoghill, was caught doing 47mph in the 30mph zone on October 3 this year.
He was also driving a Skoda Octavia without being insured.
The defendant told the court his girlfriend couldn’t drive that day and he was doing the school trip.
Prymus said he had been living here 13 years and still had a Czech driving licence.
District Judge Nigel Broderick said when people had been living here for a year a UK driving licence has to be applied for.
For the offences of October 3 the defendant was banned from driving for two months and fined £260.
