A Ballymena man facing charges in connection with the seizure of more than 12,000 suspected diazepam tablets has been granted bail.
Declan Higgins (33), of Dunvale, first appeared in court back in January this year to face six charges including possessing Class C Diazepam with intent to supply relating to Friday January 19.
He was also charged with possessing Diazepam and Tramadol along with cannabis on the same date.
The defendant was further accused of possessing cannabis with intent to supply the drug between Christmas Eve last year and January 18 this year.
He was also charged with having Methadone on January 16 and on the same date having the Class A drug with intent to supply.
The defendant appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday via video link from Maghaberry Prison where he has been on remand.
He was released on bail with conditions including a night time curfew.
The case was adjourned until August 9 when a Preliminary Enquiry – the legal step to send a case to the Crown Court – is due to be held.
