Man charged in relation to ‘£40,000’ drugs find has case sent to Antrim Crown Court

A Preliminary Enquiry – the legal step to send a case to the Crown Court – was heard on Monday June 4 in relation to a man who has been charged in connection with the seizure of ‘£40,000’ worth of cannabis.

Patryk Wisniwski (25), of Knockbracken Court, Coleraine, is accused of cultivating cannabis; possessing herbal cannabis with intent to supply and possessing the Class B substance on April 7 last year.

The charges are connected to the seizure of 71 plants with an estimated street value of £40,000.

One of the charges alleges the cannabis was cultivated at an address in Knockbracken Court.

The defendant was released on continuing bail of £250 and is due to appear at Antrim Crown Court on June 26.
