Man further remanded on charge of breaching Violent Offences Prevention Order

An Aghadowey man, the first person in Northern Ireland to be made the subject of a Violent Offences Prevention Order, has been further remanded in custody on a charge of breaching the Order by using an ‘unapproved mobile telephone to progress a relationship without verifiable disclosure with a vulnerable female’.

Gary Woods (29), of Clarehill Park, appeared before Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday, via video link from Maghaberry Prison.

A prosecutor said a full file in expected by the end of August and asked for the case to be adjourned until September for an update to be brought back.
