Man had knife in public place in Cullybackey

A Ballymena man has pleaded guilty to possessing a knife in a public place – Spence Crescent in Cullybackey.

Andrew Bain (20), of Montague Avenue, committed the offence on November 24 last year.

He appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on January 3 where defence barrister Stephen Law said his client was a “vulnerable individual” who is on a “plethora or medication”.

Sentencing was adjourned until the end of January.
