A Portrush man (64) is denying two assaults on a person and causing damage to a pair of glasses.
Richard McAree, of Brooklyn Place, is alleged to have committed the offences on dates in April and May this year.
He appeared in the dock at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday June 25 where his solicitor was Stewart Ballentine.
The defendant was released on his own bail of £300 with conditions including no contact with the alleged injured party and an ‘exclusion zone’.
The case was adjourned to July 9.
