Man is accused of stealing £570 worth of alcohol in two days

A MAN accused of stealing alcohol worth more than £570 on three occasions in two days in Ballymoney wishes to contest the charges, Coleraine Magistrates Court was told on November 5.

William Desmond McLaughlin (30), of Somerset Drive in Coleraine, is alleged to have taken alcohol worth £98 on April 11 this year and bottles of spirits worth £402 and alcohol worth £71 on April 12.

Defence solicitor Garrett Greene said it will be a contest and the case was adjourned to November 19.
