A man has been accused of setting fire to a man’s coat.
Anthony Martin Shortt (30), of no fixed address, appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on New Year’s Eve.
He is accused of committing arson on December 29, 2018.
Defence solicitor Stewart Ballentine said the defendant put forward a possible bail address with his mother in County Tyrone.
Deputy District Judge Peter Magill agreed the defendant could be released on £250 bail subject to a suitable address being found.
The defendant is barred from entering the Simon Community in Ballymena and is to have no contact with the alleged injured party.
The case was adjourned to January 3.
