A man has been charged with having a lock knife and baton in Larne’s Princes Gardens.

Paul Hunter Baxter (35), of Seacourt Road in the town, is alleged to have possessed an article with a blade in a public place on November 26 this year.

He is also accused of having an offensive weapon – a baton – in a public place and he is also charged with breaching a traffic sign.

He was using crutches when he appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on December 20.
The case was adjourned to the end of January.
