A man who shouted “Up the f**king drug dealers” in the early hours of the morning outside a property on a country road has been fined £150 after pleading guilty to disorderly behaviour.

Kielan Allen (21), of Glenarm Avenue in Portrush, committed the offence at Carrowcrin Road near Armoy on November 26 last year.

The offence happened in the early hours of a day on which the defendant was later in court for a different matter and received a suspended sentence.

Regarding November 26 a prosecutor told Coleraine Magistrates Court police attended an address where Allen had been asked to leave and he was intoxicated and agitated in a back garden and shouting at officers.

He continued to shout and was aggressive whilst being escorted from the property by the PSNI.

He shouted “F**k the police” and “”Up the f**king drug dealers” before attempting to run off whilst “screaming” and shouting before being caught.

A defence lawyer said Allen had been staying with a friend and that police originally attended in connection with another person.

The court heard Allen was arrested and held in custody over night.

District Judge Liam McNally said he was fining Allen £150 as he took into account that on the day of the disorderly behaviour offence he had given the defendant a suspended prison sentence.
