A man has admitted causing criminal damage by putting ‘Superglue’ in a door lock.
Jason Cooke (24), with an address at Duke Street in Derry/Londonderry, also shouted at a woman: “Wait and see what happens, you better all sleep with one eye open tonight, every single one of you”.
When interviewed he alleged it was a case of “mistaken identity” but he was picked out in an identification procedure by two witnesses.
Cooke pleaded guilty to charges of criminal damage and disorderly behaviour arising out of incidents in October 2016.
The disorderly behaviour happened at Hill Close in Ballykelly.
He appeared before Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday October 8 via video link from prison where he is currently serving time for a robbery when he held up a shop at knifepoint in Limavady.
He had told police he wanted to steal money for his Birthday a few days later.
Defence solicitor Don Mahoney said Cooke’s behaviour had been heavily influenced by the use of drugs and alcohol but he now off drugs since being in custody.
District Judge Peter King gave the defendant a two months jail term.
