A man who used a vehicle without insurance and MOT at North Road in Ballymena has been banned from driving for three months and fined £325.
Gheorghe Viorel Lapadat (38), of Dunclug Gardens in Ballymena, had the offences detected on August 2 this year.
Defence solicitor Stewart Ballentine said the defendant was not at court as he was in Romania and was due back in early November.
He said he was entering guilty pleas on behalf of his client.
A prosecutor said that when stopped by police the defendant said his own car was getting fixed and he had borrowed the vehicle he was in from a friend.
The defendant had a previous no insurance conviction.
