A man with over 300 previous convictions who was disorderly in the car park at Ballymena Courthouse has been given a four months prison term, suspended for three years.

Noel Campbell (59), whose address was given as Dunclug Park in Ballymena, appeared at the same courthouse on Thursday.

He had previously pleaded guilty to three charges.

He was disorderly at the car park at the court in January this year when he also assaulted a police officer and obstructed another officer.

At an earlier court, defence barrister Neil Moore said his client was “of some infamy” with 317 previous convictions.
