POLICE are appealing for information following the report of a burglary at a pharmacy in the Queen Street area of Ballymena during the early hours of Friday, November 30 in which medication was taken but which has since been recovered.
Chief Inspector Michael Simpson said: “It was reported that sometime around 3.10 am entry was gained to the premises and an unknown quantity of medication was taken, which has since been recovered.
“We are appealing for anyone with information who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or have information about the incident, to contact police at Ballymena on 101 quoting reference 129 of 30/11/18.
“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
Independent councillor Donna Anderson said the incident caused inconvenience for customers arriving to pick up medication.
