Officers in parked police car saw Craigywarren driver holding mobile phone to his ear

POLICE who were parked in the centre of Ballymena saw a Craigywarren man holding a mobile phone to his ear whilst he was driving.

Michael Robinson (25), of Hazelwood Drive, had the offence detected in the Linenhall Street/Bridge Street area on August 6 this year.

On Thursday, at Ballymena Magistrates Court where his solicitor was Stephen McCann (Jack McCann & Son), the defendant was given three penalty points and fined £100.
