POLICE got the whiff of drugs coming from a passing car which had its windows down and when they spoke to the occupants a passenger produced herbal cannabis.
Corey Dunbar (27), of Lanntara, Ballymena, had the offence detected in the centre of the town on September 8 this year.
At Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday he pleaded guilty to possessing Class B drugs.
He told police he bought the drugs for £20 the night before the offence was detected.
Fining the defendant £200, District Judge Nigel Broderick warned him: “Do this again, it’s not a fine”.
