A Portrush man has been remanded in custody charged with drugs offences over the Christmas holidays.
Jonathon David Edgar (21), whose address was given as ‘the vicinity of Crocknamack Road’ is alleged to have committed offences on December 30.
He is charged with possessing cannabis; having the Class B drug with intent to supply; possession of Diazepam and having an offensive weapon – a baton – in a public place at Crocknamack Road.
He appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on December 31 which heard bail was opposed.
Defence barrister Francis Rafferty said there was no application for bail.
He said the new alleged offences happened after the defendant was previously charged with drugs offences allegedly committed in the summer of 2018.
The case was adjourned to January 7.
