Roads chiefs are looking at extra ‘traffic calming’ in Lansdowne area of Portrush

Roads chiefs are proposing to put in extra ‘traffic calming’ in the Lansdowne area of Portrush, it has emerged.

Officials will meet with councillors in Coleraine next week to discuss road schemes in the north coast area.

A report tabled for the meeting shows that as part of ‘proposed traffic schemes’ for the 2018/2019 financial year that “subject to finance and legislative approval, Traffic Section are in the process of designing a scheme to extend the existing traffic calming in the vicinity of the Lansdowne area’.
