Mayor, Councillor Paul Michael, said: “I am thrilled to see such a fantastic representation of businesses from across the Borough here this evening at my Inaugural Dinner.
“This evening recognises those who contribute to the rich social tapestry of life in Antrim and Newtownabbey.
“Meeting such a diverse range of people over the last few months has impressed upon me the great community spirit that exists in Antrim and Newtownabbey; where so many people give of their time and energy to improve and enhance the communities in which they live.
“I am delighted that this evening’s event is being held in the Dunadry Hotel, Antrim this year. The McKeever group have invested a significant amount of money into the refurbishment of their hotel chain and it is great that the Council can demonstrate its support for these local businesses.”
The evening also raised over £2000 for the Mayor’s three chosen charities, TinyLIfe, Royal British Legion and FOCUS.
