A retired Coleraine man accused of having a knife during an alleged attack on his ex-wife in a Starbucks outlet has had his case sent to Antrim Crown Court.
William James Coyles (60), of Knockantern Green, is alleged to have committed offences at the coffee shop at ‘The Junction’ retail complex in Antrim town around 6pm on May 7 this year.
He appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday for a Preliminary Enquiry – the legal step to send a case to the Crown Court.
He was released on continuing bail ahead of attending the Crown Court in November.
