OFFICIALS at The Gobbins are examining ways of building on their ties to one of Ireland’s top tourist attractions – the Cliffs of Moher.
The Gobbins cliff path on Islandmagee only re-opened in recent years but already is becoming a firm favourite with locals and tourists.
The Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, in 2017, attracted over one a half million visitors.
Links between The Gobbins and Slieve League cliffs in County Donegal have also been explored.
A Mid & East Antrim Borough Council spokesman told ‘Ballymena Daily’: “Growing tourism is one of our key priorities in Mid and East Antrim and we enjoy extremely strong working relationships with our partner councils and other stakeholders.
“We are currently looking at how we can continue to build on our links between The Gobbins and Cliffs of Moher.”
