A telehandler vehicle and office have been damaged following a fire at a recycling centre in Ballycastle.
Two fire appliances were tasked from Ballycastle Fire Station and one from Coleraine Fire Station on Friday morning.
A Fire Service spokesperson said: “The fire had burnt itself out prior to fire crews arriving. Firefighters dampened down the scene.”
A PSNI spokesperson said: “It was reported to police at approximately 8.35am that a telehandler vehicle was set on fire and destroyed, whilst an office at the site was also set on fire causing damage.
“It is believed that entry was gained to the site between 4.30pm on Thursday, 17th of January and 8.00 am on Friday, 18th of January.
“I would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in and around this area or anyone who has information that could assist with police enquiries, to contact on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 187 18/01/19.”
