It was first released at the Venice International Film Festival in the summer and has gone on to earn rave reviews and awards.

The movie features a number of Hollywood A-listers including James Franco, Tim Blake Nelson and Brendan Gleeson.

Neeson plays a callous theatre showman. For his production entitled ‘Meal Ticket’ he transports a limbless man around for a travelling one-man “freak show”.

In a clip his character can be seen lying drunk by a camp fire singing Weila Waile – a song made famous by The Dubliners – before breaking into The Sash.
