‘Vulnerable residents targeted’ in Ballymena burglaries

PSNI

BURGLARS have struck again in Ballymena – this time targeting the vulnerable at homes in the Old Grange Avenue and Carniny Road area of the town.

A post in Inspector Simpson on the PSNI Ballymena Facebook page on Saturday said: “I need your help catching a burglar who targeted the vulnerable.

“Yesterday we had two burglaries in the Old Grange Avenue and Carniny Road area of Ballymena.

“This time the burglar targeted a 71 and 60 year old. Both burglaries were reported in the early evening. The 71 year old male was in the house at the time.

“Someone out there knows who is doing this. Maybe next time it could be your relative targeted. The only way to stop it is to catch them.

“If you have any idea who did this please let us know. Even if it is just a suspicion we can look into it.

“If you don’t want to speak directly with the police please provide information anonymously via crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

“Don’t wait until it’s to late.”
