A woman accused of wounding a male with intent to do him grievous bodily harm has had her case sent to Antrim Crown Court.

Antoinette Blair (50), of Queen Street in Ballymena, was at the local Magistrates Court on January 10 for a Preliminary Enquiry which is the legal step to send a case to the Crown Court.

The charge relates to April 20 last year.

A prosecution lawyer submitted that on the basis of the papers before the court there was a case to answer.

Defence solicitor Connel Trainor said he had no contrary submissions.

The defendant was released on £500 bail and the case was adjourned to Antrim Crown Court in February.
