A 17-year-old from the Ballymena area charged with assaulting a man has appeared in court for breaching his bail conditions.
The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on November 19.
A defence lawyer said the breach arose when the youth was “clearing his head” and had gone outside.
The boy currently faces two charges – entering a dwelling at Devenagh Way in Ballymena with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm on a male and at the time he had a weapon, namely a bottle.
He is also charged with unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm to the male.
The youth was given £500 bail and is due to appear at Ballymena Youth Court in December.
